The Opportunity: Litigation Legal Assistant Send resumes to: Hayley.christina@capstonesp.comAbout the Firm This highly regarded and prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its dynamic and fast-paced litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with accomplished attorneys, supporting complex defense litigation matters while playing a critical role in ensuring seamless case management and client service.Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of case administration, including case openings, conflict checks, file maintenance, and records managementMaintain strong working knowledge of Federal and State court rules and proceduresAssist with calculating and tracking litigation deadlinesCoordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, and attorney calendars with precision and attention to detailDraft, revise, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documents with a high degree of accuracySupport billing processes, including entering and editing time narratives, tracking billable activities, and assisting with the preparation and delivery of client invoices (electronic and paper formats)Track firm, attorney, and client expenses, and process reimbursements and payments using internal systemsMaintain and organize both electronic and physical case files in accordance with firm standardsManage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence; answer, screen, and direct telephone calls and emails professionallyCollaborate with multiple attorneys to ensure workflow is managed efficiently across competing prioritiesPerform additional administrative and litigation support dutiesRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of experience supporting litigation attorneys/practice groups and in a law firm setting. Solid experience specifically assisting attorneys throughout civil defense litigation. Strong knowledge of Federal and State court procedures, including deadline calculation and filing requirements.Demonstrated experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced setting.Experience with law firm case management and billing systems required; familiarity with iManage, SmartTime, and Aderant strongly preferred.
