Division 10 Estimator

Job Description Job Title: Estimator – Division 10 SpecialtiesLocation: Charleston, SC or Columbia, SC or Charlotte, NC or Savannah, GAPosition SummaryA growing commercial construction firm is seeking a skilled Estimator specializing in Division 10 (Specialties) to support preconstruction and bidding efforts. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of specialty building products, ensuring scope completeness and alignment with project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for Division 10 scopes, including but not limited to toilet partitions, accessories, lockers, operable partitions, fire protection specialties, and visual display boardsReview architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate scopes of workSolicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor pricingIdentify scope gaps, overlaps, and potential risks, and develop clarifications and exclusionsCoordinate with general contractors, project managers, and suppliers during the bid processAssist in value engineering efforts to provide cost-saving alternativesMaintain organized estimate files and update cost databasesSupport project handoff to operations upon awardQualifications2+ years of estimating experience in construction, preferably with exposure to Division 10 or interior specialtiesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applicationsAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred (but not required)Experience with Division 10 product lines and vendorsFamiliarity with estimating/takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff)Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related fieldWork EnvironmentOffice-based role with occasional site visits or pre-bid meetingsCollaborative, deadline-driven team environmentCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentEqual Opportunity StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
