Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of mission-critical electrical infrastructure for data center projects. The ideal candidate will have experience designing AC/DC power distribution systems, UPS systems, switchgear, standby generators, grounding, lighting, and Building Management Systems (BMS).In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality electrical designs, construction documents, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle—from design through commissioning.Key Responsibilities:Design electrical power distribution systems for data center and mission-critical facilities.Develop single line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings.Design and integrate UPS systems, standby generators, switchgear, grounding, lighting, and BMS.Perform electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, and power system studies.Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, and construction teams.Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and equipment specifications.Review and approve electrical submittals and construction documents.Ensure designs comply with NEC and applicable local, state, and federal codes.Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.Provide technical support during installation, integration, and project execution.Travel to project sites as needed for inspections, startup, and engineering support.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.4+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.Experience with data center, mission-critical, or industrial power systems.Strong knowledge of AC/DC power distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators, and grounding systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications.Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required).Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).Knowledge of PLC controls, Modbus, TCP/IP, RS-485, and Ethernet communications.Experience supporting commissioning and electrical system testing.
