Senior Systems Engineer – Electrophysiology Mapping Systems/Medical Device
Job Summary:The company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation electrophysiology mapping and ablation technologies. This role will focus on system integration, system performance analysis, and cross-functional product development activities from concept through commercial launch. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems engineering expertise within complex hardware, software, and signal-processing environments, preferably in the medical device industry.Key Responsibilities:• Lead system engineering activities for advanced electrophysiology mapping and ablation technologies• Support product development efforts from concept, design, integration, verification, and launch phases• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, Clinical Engineering, and technical stakeholders to define system requirements• Drive system architecture development, use case modeling, and system behavior definition activities• Lead system integration activities, root cause investigations, and solution development for complex engineering challenges• Contribute to technical strategy, product roadmaps, and program execution planning• Present technical updates, project status, and engineering reviews to senior leadership• Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to mitigate technical and project risks• Mentor junior engineers and support technical team development• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and applicable engineering documentation and quality requirementsRequired Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline• Minimum 10 years of experience developing complex electrical hardware, software, and signal-processing systems• Strong systems engineering background with experience in system integration and product development• Experience working within the software development lifecycle• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within multidisciplinary engineering environments• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:• Master’s degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline• Previous experience as a Systems Engineer within regulated industries• Medical device industry experience supporting cardiac mapping or ablation systems• Knowledge of IEC 60601 and related electrical hardware regulations• Experience working in enterprise-level or cross-divisional business environments• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams• Experience managing direct reports is preferredBenefits:The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.Pay Range: $50/hr to $52/hr
