Crematory Operator
As a Crematory Operator, you will be responsible for seeing that the remains are correctly received, processed, and returned to the family. You may also assist with transporting the deceased from nursing homes, hospitals, residences, or coroner's offices to the funeral home. As funeral home representatives, you must maintain composure in challenging situations with compassion and kindness. You must be at least 21 years old, able to safely lift 100 lbs, and have a valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record.What You Will DoCompassion & Empathy: Care for the deceased respectfully while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation processFacility Maintenance: Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilitiesMeticulous Attention: Receive remains and ensure all documentation is complete and visual identification of the deceased is complete and accurateCritical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptlySafety Conscious: Promotes a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conductProfessional Delivery: Delivers and releases cremated remains to the appropriate funeral home or family memberWhat We RequireCrematory operator certification is preferredValid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving recordAbility to lift 100lbs safely Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrityStrong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent follow-up skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Are you ready?
