CDL A Driver

Job Description Primary Role Expectations:· Load and deliver trusses and other building materials to job sites via commercial truck with a CDL· Load and unload freight, securing cargo for safe transit· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety regulations· Operate delivery vehicles and unloading equipment, such as forklifts· Follow driving standards and comply with state, federal, and company regulations· Maintain professional relationships with customers and obtain signatures and receipts· Adhere to delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency· Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo details· Communicate with dispatch to report any issues or delays· Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when operating equipment; including but not limited to wearing required PPE· Other duties as assigned Qualifications:· High school diploma or equivalent.· Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.· Previous experience in CDL driving and delivering oversized loads is preferred.· Familiarity with manual transmission and flat beds.· Strong problem solving and customer service skills.· Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs, loading and unloading freight efficiently.· Proficiency in operating unloading equipment.· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
