Tower TechnicianA well-established, general contractor in the tower industry is looking to hire experienced Tower Technicians who are driven, self-motivated, problem-solvers looking for a career with a great company. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of proven experience climbing telecom towers to perform tasks such as troubleshooting, cellular radio/antenna swaps and legacy cable upgrades. Experience working on Verizon and T-Mobile towers is an added plus!Excellent opportunity to step into a Top Hand or Field Supervisor position if you have the desire and ability to lead a team.Pay range depending on qualifications. Hiring for immediate positions.Their goal is to exceed industry expectations utilizing safe practices, hold each other accountable, and performing quality workmanship for our customers.Experienced level qualifications:Comtrain Safety CertificationAble to climb to various heightsAble to pass drug screeningReliable transportation to and from workLocal to Iowa but due to rotations can do pretty much anywhere in the nationExperience in US Cellular, T-Mobile, Verizon installs a plusExperience with Decomm projects a plus.To make it in this career you must be willing to adapt to the ever-changing wireless industry and its technologies. Attention to detail, drawings, prints, and instructions are keys to your success within this role.Expectations:Tower construction including erecting towers, decom, line & antenna, microwave & antenna, trouble shooting, maintenance and installing mounting hardware on tower.Being able to fiber test and pin testClean shelter installsTime management skills, communicate effectively, hardworking and dependable.Career orientated.Willing to travel and stay on the road up to two weeks.Have a valid drivers license.Pre-employment drug screen is required.Ability to take direction, be organized, and pay attention to detail.Knowledge, skills, & responsibilities:Be highly proficient with communication, organization, administrative tasks, and computers.Influence performance and daily procedures through feedback and innovation from the field.Able to climb, read, identify, and lead while performing a certain taskAble to think outside the box and provide solutionsAble to lead by example and demonstrate quality of workAble to understand blueprints, and instructions for a particular taskListen and take direction while communicating effectively with the team, supervisor, manager and customerWork environment:The work is 95% done outside and the weather elements can be difficult to adjust to. Due to site locations, rooftops, water tanks, towers, buildings, elevated structures and billboards the weather can be inconsistent, you will be asked to practice, demonstrate and talk about safe practices, making sure you and your crew are kept safe from any hazards at all times.Travel:Must be able to travel 2 - 4 weeks at a time.Example work schedule can look like 9 days off, 11 days on, 3 days off OR one week on at a time with weekends on call. Work hours can fluctuate based on the project.
