HR Operations Manager
Description:
This is role has the opportunity to affect and influence many aspects of human resources at the Storm. This role has a strong emphasis on benefits, HRIS and project management. It is a unique opportunity to take the current processes and improve upon them through the use of technology and best practices.
Benefit Administration
Partner with benefits broker administration
Assist with benefit administration, reconciliation & education throughout the year: Open Enrollment, Benefit education, etc.
Leave of absence administration with employees and Payroll: PFML, FMLA, LTD
Administer and partner as necessary with 401k plan administrators and assist in employee education
Partner with the player's association and related player benefits administrators to deliver benefits programming in compliance with the relevant Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Assist with benefit plans regulatory compliance.
League Connections:
Ensure that policy distribution and training are tracked and completed by all required employees
Administer onboarding and offboarding of seasonal employees
Learn and understand league specific contracts to help administer and comply with policies and procedures
Attend applicable virtual league-wide HR meetings
HRIS Administration
Currently possess or come up to speed quickly on Paylocity HRIS system in use
Deep understanding of each Paylocity module and partner with CHRO on training and educating employees/managers
Assign and track all HR-related training in online systems for specific participants according to training schedules
Become the reporting expert and create structure for HR-related reporting to leadership
Ensure administration is accurate and up to date for all systems: Benefits, Payroll/HRIS, Learning & Development, etc.
Recruitment/Onboarding
Ensure job description templates are up-to-date and on file for all positions
Assist with phone screens during high-volume seasons
Continue to refine the orientation process and host new hire meetings
Maintain connection with hiring managers on recent hires and reporting out onboarding data
Additional Responsibilities include the following:
General HR Administration
Partner with HR team on recruitment structure, cross-trained on processes
Monitor internal HR email alias
Cross-trained on office administration (if applicable)
Coordinating company events (ex: trades with other sports teams) & participating in event planning committee
Understanding of and compliance with all employment laws
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or Psychology or equivalent job experience
Related experience:
5+ years of project management experience
3+ years prior Benefits & 401k administration experience
Understanding and commitment to protecting confidential data.
Prior HR work experience in a smaller, growing organization or start-up
Benefits certifications a plus

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moderate noise levels in an open office environment.
