Job DescriptionJob Title: Feedmill driver Needs: 1 Pay: $25.05 probationary/ Piece Rate Hours: 5:30pm to 5:30am Day of the week: M-F Trucks: Manual General Description This position is responsible for performing daily PM checks on truck and trailer; driving to and from various farms to deliver and or pickup or load feed as scheduled. Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for having current CDL driver license, pass DOT physical every 2 years.Perform daily PM checks on truck and trailer including and complete DOT pre-trip inspections as required by DOT.Responsible for leaving at designated time and driving to appropriate location.Pull truck on scale deck to be loaded.Pull air valve on side of trailer to open lids.After trailer is loaded, blow excess feed off while standing on catwalk using air wand.Close lids on trailer by pushing knob on same air valve as was used to open the lids.Drive truck to the farmAt the farm open feed bin lids by pulling the chain or lever.Unload feed as stated on the ticket by opening bin gates on the trailer.After unloading, close all bin gates on the trailer and all bin lids at the farm.Driver returns to the mill to reload.Driver responsible for refueling and post trip inspection after last load.During snow and ice the driver is required to chain or unchain tires as required to safely arrive to and from destination.Clean scales of feed spillage.Perform miscellaneous duties associated with this job classification.Job RequirementsJob Requirements Must be able to pass both tests Urine and hair follicle. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License in the State of Tennessee CDL must not have restrictions or limitations . Age 21 or older. Must have nine months or more of verifiable Tractor Trailer driving experience within the last 12 months, or 12 months verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the last 10 years. Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening as outlined in the DOT regulations . Reach (frequently) reach up to 24" to retrieve boxes. Reach (occasionally) reach up to 73" to pallet to retrieve empty boxes. Push (frequently) push with a force up to 5# to push to conveyor belt. Forward bend (occasionally) required to forward bend to remove product to obtain proper weight. Stand (continuously) stand to check weight, pack boxes, and transfer boxes on conveyor. Walk (occasionally) walk a few steps at a time when retrieving empty boxes. Vision (continuously) needed to perform job duties. Balance (continuously) good balance needed to walk safely on wet, slippery floors, and move safely within work space. Coordination (occasionally) needed to read weights on scales, pack boxes adequately, and retrieve boxes.
