The CMO coordinates the work of case leads delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality responses to regulatory agencies. This position reports to the Senior Manager of the CMO. Position SummaryThe Expert – Compliance & Risk Consultant facilitates the development of responses and approvals from multiple functional areas and leaders for complex and confidential or restricted responses to data and reporting inquiries. The scope includes multiple agencies, laws, regulations, and customer complaints. This role supports the Senior Manager of Intake & Agency Reporting with compliance management workflows, daily reporting, and the Compliance Excellence Continuous Improvement Program.  This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location 3 times per week, including Tuesdays in the Oakland General Office(OGO). PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. Bay Area Minimum: $122,000Bay Area Mid: $158,000Bay Area Maximum:$194,000  California Minimum:$116,000California Mid:$150,000California Maximum:$184,000  This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  Job Responsibilities Provides expertise to lead and facilitate responses to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiries.Acts as consultant to internal and/or external groups in order to ensure containment and countermeasures in a compliance context are applied accordingly and promotes knowledge of compliance management best practices.Performs compliance discovery/priories research to determine previous responses to the same subject, trends, and quantifiable risks.Establishes, updates, and maintains a case hub filing and recordkeeping of all cases, meetings, evidence, materials, correspondence, and documents.Regularly updates leadership on changes to requirements/standards, metrics, program effectiveness, and opportunities for improvementChallenges responses to inquiries, and identifies, documents, and validates commitments during response development and approvals.Provides expertise and coaching related to case management, response quality, and timelines related to compliance deliverables.May act as team lead but does not have any direct reports.  QualificationsMinimum: High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED DiplomaJob-related experience, 7 years4+ years’ experience managing compliance/risk programs or controls. Desired: Bachelors degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experiencePE-Professional Engineer licensePMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certificationCISSP-Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification   Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and (Technical Competencies) Demonstrates broad expertise and applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging compliance and/or risk management issues.Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply internal control concepts and/or risk analysis & assessmentStrong problem solving, project management, and change management skillsAbility to manipulate data and draw conclusions / make recommendationsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex data effectively to a variety of audiences including executivesAbility to influence others in order to achieve understanding, acceptance, and commitment to actHighly flexible, self-directed, and able to adapt well to a rapidly changing environment
