Program Manager

Industry: EnergyPosition: Delivery Assurance and Special Processes Program ManagerLocation: Newington, CTDuration: Minimum 6 monthsFrequency: Assessment 40 hours for a few weeks and then 2-3 days per weekResponsibilities: Main responsibilities:Review planning process and identify bottlenecks and opportunities to reduce leadtime.Perform root cause analysis on delays and identify potential solutions to fix the issuesDevelop and communicate weekly and daily manufacturing schedule to ensure delivery on time.Create and maintain Work In Process (WIP) reports. Statusing/expediting of parts through repair cycle.Host and set-up meetings with supplier and customer.Provide technical support and guidance when necessarySupport special treatment process qualification and ensure steps are followed and requirements are met.Be the main focal between the supplier and the customerProvide a critical view on process and technical requirements and suggest new ways potential ways of working Requirements:Minimum of 7 years experience in aerospace or energy gas turbineExperience in operations management and/or program managementExperience with special process qualification processExperience in lean and continuous improvementExperience in a supervisor/line management role will be considered an assetExperience in problem solving and root cause analysisExperience using the problem solving methodologies and tools: 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka Yoke, etc.Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite products. A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.Ability to indluence and gain buy-in in challenging situations with a positive attitude.Ability to communicate at all level of organisationExpert (role model) that can work with no supervision.Open mind and creativity to bring new ideas and questions current methodology and requirement.
