Residential Project Plumber
Location: Lake Forest, ILJob Title: Residential Project Plumber (Remodeling + New Construction)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Residential Project Plumber with strong experience in residential remodeling and new construction, specializing in high-end and custom home projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in craftsmanship and can manage plumbing installations from rough-in through final trim with precision.This position offers a consistent daytime schedule (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with no on-call requirements, making it a great fit for plumbers seeking work-life balance while working on premium residential projects.Responsibilities and Expectations:Install, assemble, and maintain residential plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewer piping for remodels and new constructionPerform rough-in and underground work, including trenching, pipe installation, and system layout according to project specificationsMeasure, cut, thread, and fit pipes using hand and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure connectionsInstall and support plumbing components such as valves, fixtures, hangers, brackets, pumps, and related system partsInspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing issues including leaks, damaged pipes, clogged drains, and malfunctioning fixtures or appliancesRead and interpret blueprints to execute precise plumbing layouts and ensure project accuracyCoordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to maintain workflow and meet construction timelinesEnsure all installations and repairs comply with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and quality expectationsAssist with material selection, job site preparation, and maintaining organized work areasQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in residential plumbing, with a strong focus on remodeling and new constructionExperience working on custom or high-end residential homes preferredAbility to independently manage plumbing work from rough-in through final trimSolid understanding of residential plumbing systems, installation methods, and local codesPlumbing license not required, but considered a plusStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions in the fieldAbility to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specificationsPhysical capability to perform job duties, including:Lifting and moving heavy tools, materials, and fixturesWorking in physically demanding positions (standing, crouching, kneeling) for extended periodsHandling the day-to-day physical demands of construction environmentsStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanshipAbility to work both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining professionalism on job sitesBenefits:Pay ranges from $45 - $52/hour DOE with performance bonus potentialHealth insurance401k plan w/ 4% company matchCompetitive PTO policyTake home vehicles and large tools are providedThe compensation for this position is expected to range between $45.00 - $52.00 per hour.
