Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior, Financial AnalystPosting Start Date: 5/12/26Job Description:Primary RolePosition supports the financial function for a state(s) and/or line of business. Responsible for supporting the business planning and reforecasting process, financial reporting and analysis, ratio analysis and operational metric interpretation, evaluation and modeling of new business opportunities, and collaboration with operational business partners on an ongoing basis. Functions as the liaison with state(s) and/or line of business leaders on financial matters.Key AccountabilitiesLead collaboration with the business to understand key business drivers & operational metrics and deliver effective analysis of results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisProvide analytical support to all levels of management, including ad-hoc reporting for the state(s) and/or line of business and corporate partnersParticipate in budgeting & reforecasting processes. Collaborate with operational and financial business partners to develop budget assumptions and pertinent supporting schedulesSupport business development, including developing financial modelsSupport regulatory filings and data requests with financial data and analysisSupport Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance controls assigned to the teamOther special projects and ad hoc assignmentsKnowledge/SkillsStrong relationship-builder amongst diverse business groups and individualsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong financial analysis and modeling skillsAbility to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships within finance and with all levels of managementUnderstands the mission, vision, values, and strategies of AWKnowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP)Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skillsSAP and Hyperion experience preferredExperience/EducationBachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAdvanced degree or CPA, CMA or CFA preferred. 5 years of accounting/financial related experience required. Regulated utility experience preferredTravel RequirementsAs necessary, up to 15%.
