The culture values inclusivity, continuous improvement, and learner success.Role Description The Program Director at Linux-university is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of academic and training programs. This role manages program roadmaps, aligns curricula with industry needs, and coordinates with instructors, instructional designers, and support teams to ensure high-quality learner experiences. Day-to-day, the Program Director reviews course performance data, prioritizes updates, and leads planning meetings to refine content, schedules, and program structures. The position includes setting and tracking program goals, monitoring learner outcomes, and implementing operational processes that support scalability and quality. The Program Director also contributes to strategic initiatives, supports outreach and partnerships, and maintains clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in academic program management, curriculum design, or education leadership within higher education, online learning, or professional training.Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and stakeholders in a remote environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.Familiarity with Linux, open-source technologies, or technical education programs, with the ability to align learning objectives to industry needs.Proficiency with online education platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and data-driven decision-making using learner and program metrics.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and lead initiatives in a distributed, remote-first organization.Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, computer science, management, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.Commitment to inclusive, equitable educational practices and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
