NOT oil and gas10-15M+ minimum scope experienceJob Description:Role OverviewWe are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to act as the Package Project Manager for key civil and architectural scope areas on a large-scale capital project. This is an oversight and coordination role, functioning as an owner's representative and primary point of accountability for assigned packages rather than a hands-on field engineering position.This role requires strong scope control, change management, and coordination across multiple stakeholders, including EPCM partners, design engineering firms, and construction contractors.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Project Manager for assigned civil/architectural packages, serving as the primary point of contact and accountabilityOversee and manage scope for packages including:FireproofingExterior cladding and building envelopeGlazing systemsRoofingFirestoppingCold rooms (if prior experience applies)Maintain "ducks in a row" for scope definition, design completeness, and constructability readinessReview and validate change orders, including:Assessing scope accuracyIdentifying missing or unclear elementsEvaluating intent vs. execution gapsProvide active coordination across multiple touchpoints, ensuring alignment between:EPCM partnersDesign engineering firmsConstruction contractorsParticipate in progress meetings and coordination sessions; drive issues to closureEnsure alignment with cost, schedule, scope, and quality expectationsServe as an owner's representative, providing oversight rather than daily field executionSite presence is welcome but not required as a primary function of the roleExperience & Qualifications5-10 years of project engineering or project management experienceExperience managing multi-million-dollar scopes (typically $10-15M+)Strong background in one or more of the following industries is preferred:PharmaceuticalManufacturingChemicalDemonstrated experience working with:EPCM organizationsDesign engineering firmsMulti-discipline construction teamsStrong understanding of scope definition, change control, and package-level deliveryExcellent coordination, communication, and organizational skillsEducationBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical disciplineAdditional NotesThis is primarily an oversight and coordination role, not a traditional field PE positionCandidate should be comfortable leading through influence and managing interfaces rather than performing daily field inspectionsUrgent need - goal is to onboard the right candidate as quickly as possible
