Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA

Responsibilities: - Assist in the implementation of treatment plans for children - Provide therapeutic interventions to improve children's functional abilities - Document patient progress and maintain accurate records. -Communicate with parents regarding goals and home carryover -Provide clients with home-based programs to help them achieve optimal progress - Communicate with the scheduling department regarding any changes in schedule - Participate in trainings, continuing education courses and individual/group supervision Skills: - Experience working with children - Ability to address sensory processing skills, coordination skills, balance, fine motor, visual motor and visual perceptual skills etc. -Good communication and interpersonal skills - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities - Looking to fill slots for afternoon/evenings, Sundays and Fridays also. Location: We are looking for certified occupational therapy assistants to service our clients in our fully equipped sensory gym located in Pomona, NY which is in Rockland County. New graduates are welcome to apply as well and supervision and training will be given. About Us: Connected Kids provides therapeutic services to children in the Rockland County area.
