Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer III to support advanced mechanical design, FEA analysis, testing, and customer-focused engineering projects in a fast-paced technical environment.This role is ideal for engineers with strong mechanical design expertise, hands-on problem-solving ability, and experience supporting manufacturing and prototype builds.Key Responsibilities:• Perform linear-static Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design optimization• Generate detailed technical drawings and CAD models• Support test design, development, validation, and DVP&R reporting• Develop testing methods and procedures• Support manufacturing activities and respond to engineering change requests (ECRs)• Present technical findings and project updates to customers• Collaborate with technicians and support shop builds/prototypes• Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation• Troubleshoot and resolve customer engineering issues using analytical and project management skillsRequired Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or related field• Minimum 3+ years of engineering industry experience• Strong experience with:Siemens NX 2406 or newerParametric 3D modelingANSYS Mechanical AnalysisLinear-static FEATechnical drawing generationASME Y14.5 GD&T• Understanding of full vehicle systems and component interaction• Experience with mechanical design including billet, sheet metal, composites, tooling, and mold design• Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite• Ability to support technicians, builds, and hands-on shop activitiesNice to Have:• Motorsport industry experience (NASCAR experience highly preferred)• Windchill PLM experience
