Description:Job DescriptionEMF Corporation is seeking candidates to fill our Coating Technician position who have experience as Machine Operators working in manufacturing. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills, and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 2+ years' experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety.We are looking to fill positions on our first shift (7 am - 3:30 pm). On the job training for our vacuum systems and process flow will be provided and the applicants will be evaluated on performance and learned skills after a 90-day period.EMF provides precision optical coatings for a broad range of applications, including automotive components, display systems, instrumentation, satellite communications, flexible substrates, protective face shields, power cell components, glass, and lighting.Looking for experienced Coating TechniciansDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform vacuum coating operations necessary to deposit thin films on a variety of substrates via coating chambersWork from written & verbal instructions, set up sheets and standard operating procedures under direct supervisionOperate one or more of the production machines maintaining standard yields and utilizationSafely handle a wide variety of optical componentsHand clean substrates as required and meet standard cleaning requirementsMonitor and control the evaporation cycle using process control equipmentMonitor control panel frequently and record dataMaintain required documentation of process conditions and abnormal occurrences, including run recordsResponsible for the inspection of the work producedMeasure product and determine if it meets specificationResponsible for comparing product to standards and to prints/drawingsReport unusual conditions and/or problems to engineeringFull knowledge of location and content of all quality documents pertaining to product producedTear down and rebuild inside components of the coater during routine clean-upsApply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and oral instructionsAdaptable to various situations and tasks within a changing work environmentRequirements:QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a GED/High school Diploma required2-year technical degree RequiredMin of 5 Years as an Optical Coating Technician (Preferred)Excellent time management skillsStrong written and verbal communicationStrong math skills, including, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, and calculating averages and percentagesMust be detail orientedExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook – Access a plus)Experience, or the ability to learn to read CAD drawingsAdditional: On the job training providedUpon completion of probationary period, the following fringe benefits availableMedicalVoluntary Dental/Vision and Life Insurance401K with Company MatchH.S.A.Paid Time Off/HolidaysJob Type: Full-timeEMF is an Equal Opportunity Employer
