PT - Support Assistant, Access to Achievement (Part-Time)
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Access to Achievement Assistant will provide support for the Access to Achievement initiative. This position will provide support, coaching, tutoring, and technical assistance to Access to Achievement students, specifically. The individual may also be responsible for providing office support which requires student interaction, computer work, filing, attention to detail, and professional customer service skills. The position reports to the Access to Achievement Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Associates degree or higher
One year experience working with students
One year of secretarial or clerical work experience
Preferred:
Experience working with students who identify as having intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology or related field
Post-secondary training in business or related field
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide support and coaching to students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in areas of need
Assist in basic technical support of various programs
Assist in navigation of Canvas courses
Provide additional support in basic skills classes
Tutoring
Provide administrative support for Access to Achievement initiative
Assist in Person Centered Planning for each student
Track student outcomes
Create and submit reports to NCCCS as requested
Assist in local marketing, outreach and student recruitment efforts
Help guide students in the application process
Input student registration data
Maintain strong organizational skills and work efficiently
Provide other support as needed
OTHER DUTIES
Utilize written and oral communication skills when completing job functions.
Complete tasks assigned by the Access to Achievement Coordinator
