Job SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift (Hours: 1pm-9:30pm) will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within our food manufacturing plant. This role requires a strong leader with excellent technical skills, the ability to manage a team, and a commitment to ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.Core ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on production equipment and machinery.Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production processes.Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.Train and develop maintenance staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history and spare parts inventory.Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a secure work environment.Collaborate with the procurement department to source and purchase necessary spare parts and supplies.Provide a comprehensive shift handoff to oncoming shift and the maintenance management team, both orally and in writing on a daily basis at the end of each shift. Include issues throughout the shift, status, and expected timeline to return to production.Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities an provide suggestions to improve methods and processes.Qualifications2+ years of Maintenance leadership experience requiredAt least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with vendors-setting up and managing in plantDepth of knowledge in electrical and mechanicalCMMS experience neededSAP experience or other large ERP experience preferredProject management skillset is a benefitStrong personal safety experienceStrong technical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery and knowledge/understanding of PLC’sExcellent leadership and team management abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentFood manufacturing experience is a big plus, but not requiredMaker's Pride is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
