This individual will partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to implement inspection strategies, manage supplier performance, and lead structured problem solving to improve product reliability and manufacturing performance.This role requires someone comfortable operating in regulated or highly structured quality environments while still moving quickly to support product development and production programs.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Quality LeadershipPartner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to develop and implement quality strategies across product programs and manufacturing operations.Quality Systems & ComplianceSupport and maintain structured quality systems aligned with ISO and industry standards, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.Root Cause & Corrective ActionLead structured problem solving using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, DMAIC, and statistical analysis to address product, process, and supplier issues.Supplier Quality ManagementOversee supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance improvement initiatives. Support supplier audits, inspections, and continuous improvement programs.Inspection & Risk ManagementDevelop inspection plans, control strategies, and risk mitigation frameworks to improve product reliability and reduce manufacturing defects.Performance AnalyticsBuild and maintain quality metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting to drive data-based decisions and operational improvements.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with product engineering, manufacturing teams, and external partners to ensure quality standards are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.Ideal BackgroundExperience in quality engineering or quality program leadership within complex manufacturing environmentsStrong background in regulated or structured quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100Experience supporting audits, compliance programs, or government or defense-related inspectionsDemonstrated success leading root cause investigations and corrective action programsExperience managing supplier quality programs and improving supplier performanceBackground supporting electromechanical or hardware-based productsSix Sigma Greenbelt or similar continuous improvement certification preferredInterested in hearing more?
