School Therapist - (Full Time) InSite Health is an outpatient psychiatric and health technology company seeking a licensed, PMHNP for outpatient and school-based care to join our growing team on a full time basis. At times it may require reporting to one of our InSite Health partner school districts to serve as a Float School-Based Outpatient APN. Part of the role is also designed to cover any short- or long-term absences, ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality mental health services without interruption. Job Overview: Partner with school administration, teachers, and district leaders to support students’ needs and encourage academic success as well as overall mental wellbeing Provide family programming, including but not limited to support groups for parents/guardians Work with supervisor and parents to ensure students are receiving the appropriate care for their individual needs, which may include referrals to external resources or programs Enhance the student environment by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across the care team Provide evaluation and consultation services as needed and referring patients to a higher level of care when indicated Handle student crisis situations Maintain thorough and timely clinical notes in InSite’s EHR Active participant in educational opportunities to support continued growth as a clinician, particularly in the academic space Provide initial evaluations and develop treatment plans with patients for medication, therapy or a combination of both. Our patients strongly prefer combined medication and therapy appointments, thus it is important that applicants are comfortable providing various modalities of talk therapy. Provide comprehensive, professional, compassionate, and coordinated care to patients Flexible schedule including remote or hybrid delivery of care. Performs initial psychiatric evaluation and regular reassessments, prescribing and reviewing psychotropic medications and regularly reviewing psychiatric diagnosis for any revisions or additions that are appropriate. Manages prescription of psychotropic medication and explains to the child and parents/guardians target symptoms, expected results, risks, benefits, and possible side effects of medication. Provide school behavioral threat assessments Requirements: A Master's degree from an accredited school of advanced practice registered nursing ANCC board certification DEA certification (required) Ideally at least 1 year of experience in the mental health profession, providing services to children and families is preferred and new graduates are welcomed An active advanced practice nursing license from the State of New Jersey Benefits: Compensation range $150-175k annually Benefits package License/Certification: PMHNP (Required) with New Jersey state licensure Job Types: Full Time Location: Near Bergen County, NJ Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Application Question(s): Are you able to commute to a school multiple times per week in the Paramus, NJ area for on-site therapy services?
