Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time, experienced Welder to perform repairs and fabricate heavy construction and mining equipment at our Buhl branch. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance15 days of PTO your first year, accrual starts day 19 paid holidays401(k) plan with company contribution and matchHSA (Health Savings Account), Ziegler contributes up to $1000 tax-free each yearShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, FSA & EAPPaid Parental Leave & Funeral LeaveFitness membership discountEducation AssistanceSafety Boot Reimbursement, PPE & Uniforms providedTool InsuranceSafe, clean and friendly work environmentResponsibilities:Perform welding and fabricationMaintain equipment such as dressing welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and other adjustments as necessaryDocument work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfactionWork safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standardsWork collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairsParticipate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledgeQualifications:2-year technical college degree/certificate in welding or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable welding experienceAble to operate spot welder, arc welder, plasma TIG welder, MIG welder, cutting torch, power grinder, power sander, hand-tools, bandsaw, drills, temporary fixturing devices, and other metal-fabrication equipmentAble to read dimensional blueprintsExperience with gauging and measuring preferredAbility to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team membersBasic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systemsOwn mechanic tool setAbility to maintain a safe and clean work environmentThis role is deemed safety sensitive and requires the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug testMinimum Physical Requirements :Push/pull up to 50 lbsLift/carry up to 60 lbsLift bulky objectsAble to wear positive air flow mask while working.Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, n eck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
