Job Title: Senior Network Security EngineerPay Rate:$50 to $57 /HrDuration: 18 months (Possibility of conversion or extension)Location: Irving, TX/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days/week in onsite)We are seeking a hands-on Senior Network Security Engineer to join a large enterpriseCybersecurity organization supporting critical infrastructure and internet-facing firewall environments. This role is ideal for someone with strong enterprise firewall experience who enjoys both project-based engineering work and day-to-day operational support in a fast-paced environment.You will work across multi-vendor network security platforms, including Palo Alto and Fortinet technologies. The team is responsible for firewall implementations, migrations, optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing infrastructure support across multiple concurrent initiatives.This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure-focused security engineer who enjoys solving complex networking and firewall challenges while collaborating with global teams.Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network security solutionsConfigure and troubleshoot Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall environmentsSupport firewall migrations using tools such as Expedition, FortiConverter, and SmartMovePerform firewall policy reviews, rule optimization, and security hardeningHandle operational support activities, including firewall changes, builds, replacements, and decommissionsAnalyze Splunk logs and monitoring tools to troubleshoot incidents and performance issuesCollaborate with networking, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams on security initiativesSupport multiple projects and ticket queues simultaneously in a structured enterprise environmentMaintain documentation, including network diagrams, standards, and operational proceduresRequirements:4+ years of hands-on Network Security Engineering experienceStrong experience implementing and troubleshooting:Palo Alto firewallsFortinet firewallsExperience working in enterprise multi-vendor firewall environmentsStrong understanding of:Routing & switchingVPNsNATIntrusion prevention technologiesNetwork security best practicesExperience with firewall migration and policy conversion activitiesExperience using Splunk logs and network monitoring toolsAbility to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and firewall issuesStrong communication and documentation skillsNice to Have:Automation/scripting experience using Python, Ansible, or TerraformExposure to cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience in regulated enterprise environments (financial services, healthcare, insurance, etc.)Certifications such as:PCNSA / PCNSENSE4 / NSE5
