Electrical Systems Design Engineer

Are you a talented Electrical Systems Engineer with a passion for aviation technology? We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Systems Design Engineer II to join a dynamic team. This role will involve the design, development, and integration of in-flight entertainment systems, contributing to both new aircraft production and retrofit projects. What You’ll Be Doing: As an Electrical Systems Design Engineer II, you will: Design, develop, and engineer system installation packages, including electrical, mechanical, and seat installation designs for both production and retrofit applications. Support program management and collaborate with certification, marketing, and other teams to coordinate program requirements. Review and develop engineering documentation, such as aircraft wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, and installation drawings. Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and installation processes, providing technical direction to project teams. Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, and PRO-E to perform design responsibilities and provide inputs to drafters. Your Background & Skills: To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or seat design, ideally within the aircraft industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, PRO-E, or equivalent design software. A solid understanding of aircraft wiring, avionic components, and airline regulatory guidelines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to provide technical direction to teams and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Up to 25% domestic or international travel required to support coordination meetings and program reviews.
