Production Equipment Technician

Join a global leader in financial technology and communications as a Production Equipment Technician, where your hands-on expertise will help power the high-volume systems that keep critical financial operations running.What you need to know:Shift: Monday to Friday6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Off Peak Hours5:00 AM to 5:00 PM Peak HoursHourly Rate: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour + overtime + double time ($$$)This is a permanent position to work fully onsite in Brentwood, NYWe are seeking a skilled technician to maintain production equipment to ensure maximum reliability and uptime. This role involves performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of production systems, including equipment used for archival storage and retrieval of computer-generated data (file-based servers), where applicable. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret technical service bulletins and manuals to develop effective troubleshooting and repair strategies.This is a 100% on-site roleResponsibilities:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance while troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Respond promptly to technical support requests to ensure timely resolution.Appropriately logs all support calls into the technician tracking system to ensure all work time and parts are appropriately accounted for.Install electrical wiring and controls for all production-related equipment. Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware related to production equipment.Relocate production equipment and support the installation of new equipment as neededEffectively track parts usage and provide input to management and the Inventory Analyst with regards to suggested inventory levels.Provide feedback to leadership regarding performance appraisals of junior technicians.Ensure compliance with maintenance records in accordance with OSHA and EPA requirements. This may include the use and maintenance of an equipment tracking database. Consistently adheres to all safety procedures.Qualifications:3 years' experience within a production environment with knowledge of equipment repair.High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational education preferred.Vendor/equipment repair certification preferred but not required for at least one of Client's insertion platforms (e.g., Blue Crest, Bowe, Buhrs, etc.)Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of high-speed production equipment is necessary.Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
