Job Title: Process/Chemical EngineerLocation: Lusby, MD 20657Duration: 6+ Months IMPORTANT NOTE: The rate on this position is set to an expert level engineer with 12-15 years of experience. Manager is willing to interview candidates with fewer years experience down to a level of 3-5 years but the rate must be in line with that level of expertise.Job Description Chemical engineering or petroleum engineering degree Broad understanding of Oil & Gas, refining and petrochemical processes Minimum 5 years of experience as process engineer in Engineering company and/or Oil & gas Company, most of which on cryogenic units Mastering modeling tools such as PROII, Hysys, Unisim. Good knowledge of other specific modeling tools is a plus (e.g., HTRI, CFD tools) Familiar with process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, compressors and pumps A conceptual understanding of chemical engineering principles of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics, and their general application to process design Familiar with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes Relevant experience of originating and checking the deliverables/tasks Excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them Ability to manage complex studies performed inhouse or by engineering contractors Fluent in English
