Audio Visual Installation Technician

The team is committed to delivering high-quality, dependable AV solutions and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with customers.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Installation Technician role based in the Greater Orlando area. The technician will install, configure, and test audio visual systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, theatrical lighting fixtures, and video conferencing equipment. Daily responsibilities include pulling and terminating cables, mounting and wiring AV hardware, labeling and documenting connections, and assisting with system setup and calibration.QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Audio Visual (AV) systems, including installation, configuration, and integration.Ability to troubleshoot AV equipment and signal flow issues, diagnose problems quickly, and implement effective solutions.Familiarity with video conferencing systems and platforms, including setup, testing, and basic user support.Working knowledge of lighting control systems and projectors, including mounting, alignment, and basic maintenance.Comfort reading and following AV drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively in commercial and institutional environments.Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with team members and clients.Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Greater Orlando area and ability to work varying schedules as needed.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, scissor and boom lifts, navigate crawlspaces/attics, and stand for extended periods.3+ years of experience with AV, lighting and control system integration in commercial environmentsWillingness to occasionally travel for a few nights based on the location of the jobsite.Previous experience in AV installation, low-voltage, or related trades preferred; industry certifications (e.g., AVIXA/CTS) are a plus.
