This full-time 10-month position comes with the responsibility of working with faculty and staff tosupport the school’s mission and curricular goals.ResponsibilitiesDesign, plan, and implement student-centered lessons which demonstrate a deep understanding ofthe academic discipline, curriculum, instruction, child development, and best practices, alignedwith the goals and mission of The Park SchoolUpdate documentation of current curriculum, instruction, and assessmentMaintain records of individual student progress and achievementRegularly communicate with families about classroom happenings and student progressComplete administrative tasks and duties (ex: lunch, recess, carpool) as assigned (studentsupervision, attendance, reporting, documenting curriculum, etc.)Establish and implement expectations for student safety and conduct; and procedures androutines, consistent with Park School policiesParticipate in the school community and in all school activities, including faculty and committeework, school duties, and activities such as clubs and assemblies (e.g., Grandparents & SpecialFriends Day, Yule festival, May Day etc.).Meaningfully integrate technologies into class lessons, for online learning as well as in schoollearningGuide students in their social-emotional development, maintaining expectations and support forpositive and productive student behaviorCollaborate with the office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging to keep multiculturalismand diversity as a priority of curricular work and curriculum developmentParticipate in and contribute to an adult learning community by engaging in meetings,discussions, committees, task forces, and professional development.Ensure that respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion, social-emotional learning, and academicexcellence are emphasized as core values of ParkMeet expectations as defined by the Park School Employee Essential ExpectationsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree required.
