Diesel Mechanic Foreman

Hiring Immediately: Shop Foreman in San Jose, CA ** ** Take the next step in your career as the manager of Estes’ San Jose shop. This role is responsible for running the maintenance facility’s operations, including managing equipment, preventive maintenance, safety, and the life cycle of all employees. We’re looking for someone with both strong leadership and expert mechanical skills who can also work well with other departments, shops, and terminals. Must have mechanical ability and interest in all types of machinery and engines with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our fleet, including: Navistar, Freightliner, Kenworth, and Volvo trucks Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, Paccar, and MaxxForce engines Trailers of all brands Hyster and Moffett forklifts Additional qualifications include: Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act (FMCSA) rules and regulations Familiarity with American Transportation Association (ATA) parts’ system codes Ability to implement and monitor employee training programs Experience in strong team building, employee coaching, and performance management 5 years of relevant experience preferred Strong ability to adapt to and multi-task projects through prioritization and time management. Knowledge/experience with less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier operations is preferred. Must be able to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
