Maternity Technician

Position SummaryWe have an immediate opening for a dynamic, detail oriented individual to join our team as an Maternity Technician. Reporting to our local Technician Team Leader and working as a key member of our Alta Genetics USA Tech Services Inc. company, this role is responsible to provide maternity support and labor service to assigned customers.Location: working in and around Phoenix, AZPrimary ResponsibilitiesAccurately follow on-farm procedures as designated by each individual technicianProvide for the safe, efficient and successful processing of Maternity animals of customer herdsCooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service offering into a total farm management planHelp locate, train and develop competent relief helpProvide accurate and timely reports when specifically requestedProvide timely response to requests for informationCooperate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics service.Develop improved practices in animal feeding, housing, sanitation, or parasite and disease control.Ensure protocols are followed for nutrition, reproduction, growth, and development of cattle to improve herd health.QualificationsDemonstrated experience working with and handling cattleAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust possess communication and people skillsWillingness to learn and develop both personally and professionallyComputer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus
