Assistant Project Manager (BOND Civil & Utility)
Core Responsibilities:Anticipate and manage cost exposuresManage general conditions budget. Work as a team to achieve budget goalsWork as teammate of superintendent in support of all activities on the siteManage and approve project purchasesHave determination, will and attention to detail to close out a project swiftly, smoothly and to customer's satisfactionImplement corporate and project specific safety programMotivate and develop responses from subcontractors as a business partner to BONDBe familiar with BOND procedures and teach others-Mentor subordinatesPerform professional and thorough annual evaluations and follow-up on the recommendations for employees reporting to this positionQualifications:BS in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experienceProven management insight to maximize employee productivity and performanceComplete understanding of industry practices, processes, and standardsUnderstanding of all aspects of trade work - Knowledge of union agreementsExtensive construction knowledge of methods for site work, utilities and concrete workKnowledge of unit costs to a sufficient degree to analyze cost of the work, change orders and cost projectionsAbility to author a project master plan to see how and where to include detailed breakdown of all activities that impact the project progressUnderstanding of the business needs and requirements of each subcontractor on the projectComplete understanding of the owner's contractAbility to effectively run meetingsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSoftware skills and database software experience with Prolog, SureTrak, Primavera, MS Office, HCSSPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
