The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.As an Assistant Restaurant Manager and a key part of the management team, you will:Support your management team in delivering all operational, commercial, experiential, and people performanceYou’ll contribute to and drive the restaurant strategy to achieve our goals and build a long-term vision for the brandClosely monitor financial performance, you’ll provide direction and make decisions where needed to protect and drive profitability, including labor scheduling, expense control, sales forecasting, annual budgeting process and month end performance analysisOur customer and member experience are central to success, and you’ll be obsessive about any detail that has the potential to make or break thisYou’re accountable for ensuring the whole team delivers exceptional service and equally, you’ll hold them to account for performance as measured on the restaurant balanced scorecardAs an accountable person for health and safety and labor relations, you’ll ensure that all regulatory compliance is maintainedSupport with all people leadership tasks - including team recruitment, development and performance chats, onboarding new starters - this is a great role for a growing manager who wants to build their people management skillsetWhat you can bring to the role:Previous leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding food, guest experiences, and people managementOur customers and guests expect the best, so high standards are essentialAn organized and detailed manner is necessary, as impeccable record keeping is needed to maintain records for our safety and audit standardsA commercial mindset is non-negotiable in all our leaders as you will be supporting in delivering excellent financial performance and resultsOur operation can be a high-pressure environment, but you’ll be the steady presence that our team look to, so a calm demeanor and a genuine passion for providing guests with an exceptional experience every time is essentialHave the ability to be flexible with your schedule, we believe in balancing your needs and our guestsAble to lift, pull, push at least 35 poundsAble to stand for long periods of time to include an 8 hour plus shiftOpen availability to include the ability to work on weekends, holidays, open and/or closing shiftsWhat The Ned can give you:Salary of up to $75,000/yearMedical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD InsuranceComplimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opensExciting learning and development programs to help progress your careerExclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel staysPaid time off401k matchingEmployee assistance program - advice and supportReward and recognition initiativesAt The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
