Think of it as a live digital trade show floor with no dominant competitor in that space. We're positioning the map as the primary interface where founders, freelancers, investors, creators, consultants, and agencies can discover real-time business opportunities, connections, and deals based on where they are.We launched the concept as YUMIBIZ and validated it with ~500 organic users before rebuilding as PitchMap. We're now in design-complete, pre-launch stage with a fully specced Figma design and technical architecture ready for execution.The RoleWe're looking for a technical co-founder who owns the hardest part of PitchMap: building a real-time, geospatial matching engine at scale. You'll architect and build the backend infrastructure that powers live opportunity discovery.You'll own:PostGIS database design and optimization for location-based queries at scaleReal-time WebSocket architecture for live updates across the map interfaceMapbox integration and geospatial feature implementationAWS infrastructure (databases, compute, caching, CDN)Node.js backend and API layerThe bridge between Mapbox and our matching algorithmsThis isn't a generic full-stack role. You understand PostGIS performance at scale, WebSocket connection management, and map SDKs. You're comfortable with architectural decisions that impact cost (AWS) and latency (real-time matching). You think in terms of systems, not just features.You're not looking for a salary job. You want to build something, take equity risk, and own a significant piece of a platform. You're willing to move fast and iterate.Equity & CompensationEquity: 3–10% (open for negotiations) Vesting: 36 months with 1-year cliff. IP assigned to PitchMap.Salary: Triggered at either $30K MRR or $500K in funding.
