Sr. Manager, Software Development Engineering

Position Summary CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr. Manager, Software Development Engineering to design and develop software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solutions, design, and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high‐quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing and bug fixes. Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD processes. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross‐functional teams on application development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Mentor junior team members and independently lead development of high‐complexity, high‐risk solutions. Requirements Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience in each of the following: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps Java, Python, or Node.js XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript Frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, or Backbone REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs JIRA, Rally, or Confluence Web and mobile applications development Application design, including analysis of user functional and non‐functional requirements Analysis of application data requirements from backend systems and services Unit testing Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting Compensation Pay Range: $147,680.00 to $236,900.00 per year. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a bonus, commission or short‐term incentive program, and an equity award program.
