As part of our expanding service lines, we are building out a mobile pain management program to better serve patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and home care settings.ResponsibilitiesThis is a remote Medical Director position to oversee NP/PAs who are in the field practicing pain management services.Oversee providers and review documentation, providing feedback as neededProvide clinical guidance on pain management protocols, including medication management, non-pharmacologic interventions, and appropriate referrals for interventional proceduresSupport providers in developing individualized pain care plans for patients in SNF, ALF, and home care settingsAttend one monthly meeting with providersProvide assistance to providers as neededEnsure documentation and prescribing practices meet Medicare and state regulatory standardsNo in person requirements, nights or weekendsQualificationsActive Medical Degree (DO/MD)Board certified or board eligible in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or a related specialty with a pain management focusActive DEA registration in good standingMedicare provider and license to practice in CaliforniaMust be located in TXExperience overseeing NPs/PAs preferredFamiliarity with geriatric and post-acute patient populations preferred
