Case Management Specialist, Full Time, First Shift
Tasks the appropriate team member for clinical requests and discharge planning orders via the case management electronic system to ensure high quality care coordination. Participates in performance improvement activities as directed by the Case Management leadership. Provides clerical support in the case management office
by ordering supplies and inputting service requests. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Utilization Documentation Manager and Director, Case Management.
Special Qualifications
Required: Associate Degree; 3 years experience in an acute healthcare facility performing clerical or clinical functions; Complete internal
or external medical terminology course within six months or have relevant experience.; 3 years experience with office machines (i.e.
copier, fax, telephone), computer terminal/personal computer and software use (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
Preferred: Expertise and knowledge of third party payor, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
