This role focuses on designing and building cloud-native services, APIs, frameworks, and data processing capabilities that support analytics, AI initiatives, and customer-facing products. The position directly contributes to scalable, reliable, and secure data infrastructure that powers business insights and digital products.Responsibilities• Design and develop production software using Python and C# for the enterprise data platform.• Create reusable platform libraries, frameworks, and SDKs for engineering teams.• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services supporting data products.• Manage software components throughout design, deployment, monitoring, and production support.• Ensure reliability, observability, performance, and scalability of production services.• Participate in architectural discussions and improve platform automation and engineering practices.• Apply software development best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and clean architecture.• Develop scalable ingestion services and data processing frameworks.• Build data pipelines using Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and SQL Warehouse.• Develop metadata-driven processing frameworks to improve automation and reusability.• Collaborate with Data Scientists to support AI and machine learning initiatives.• Optimize pipeline performance, storage utilization, and compute costs.• Contribute to data governance initiatives involving lineage, metadata, documentation, and quality standards.• Support customer data privacy and de-identification requirements across regions.• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams to deliver data solutions.Requirements• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably with cloud-native backend systems or data platforms.• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Python.• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed backend services.• Strong knowledge of maintainable and testable software development using modern engineering principles.• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and production operations.• Knowledge of public and internal API design principles.• Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud-native data platforms.• Ability to design, debug, and operate distributed systems in production environments.• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.• Proficiency in SQL and analytical data modeling.• Experience building data pipelines with Databricks or Azure Data Factory.• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage and modern lakehouse architectures.• Experience developing enterprise SaaS or multi-tenant applications.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Experience supporting developer integration with data platform components.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Pay Range and Compensation Package• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
