In this position, you'll oversee inventory control, yard organization, and logistics across our warehouses and remote laydown locations while leading a team that keeps it all running. This is a hands-on management role with real responsibility and direct impact on field production.RequirementsWhat You'll Be DoingOwning inventory accuracy across all company warehouses, yards, and remote laydown locationsEnsuring all material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and cycle counts are documented accurately in the inventory system and ERPKeeping yards and laydown areas organized, safe, and staged ahead of crew mobilizationCoordinating material movement between warehouses, vendors, laydown yards, and active job sitesSupervising Warehouse Inventory Specialists and yard personnel — training, directing, and holding them accountable dailyWorking closely with Procurement, Operations, Project Management, and Finance to keep material supply aligned with project demandResearching and resolving inventory variances, missing materials, and undocumented movementDriving consistent use of digital tracking tools and ERP systems across the teamTraveling up to 25% to support other yards, laydown areas, and project sites as neededWhat We Need From You3–5 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, construction supply, or a closely related operations role1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse, yard, or construction operations environmentHands-on experience with inventory counts, material receiving, issuing, staging, and digital documentationWorking knowledge of ERP platforms and digital inventory tracking tool; Viewpoint Vista experience is a plusForklift certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 daysValid driver's license requiredExperience with telecom, utility, fiber optic, or infrastructure construction materials is a strong plusOrganized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple locationsAble and willing to travel up to 25% to support yard and project site operationsThe Physical RealityThis is a working manager role — you're not behind a desk all day. You'll be on your feet in the warehouse and yard, operating forklifts, staging materials, and traveling to other locations regularly. The job has a real physical component alongside the management and administrative work.Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistanceStanding and walking throughout warehouse and yard environments dailyRegular forklift and powered equipment operationOutdoor yard work in all weather conditions
