Our mission is to connect experienced professionals with organizations executing complex projects and critical infrastructure initiatives.Position OverviewAugment Professional Services (APS) is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support project completions and commissioning activities across critical infrastructure and industrial environments in the Austin, Texas region. This is a field-based role focused on ensuring the safe, reliable startup and commissioning of electrical systems, with an emphasis on medium voltage distribution, switchgear, and protection systems.The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will play a key role in late-stage project execution, working closely with project managers, field engineers, and client stakeholders to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support successful system energization. This position reports to the Commissioning Manager, Ben Taylor, and requires strong hands-on expertise in field electrical systems, relay programming, and startup procedures.A formal engineering degree is not required; however, candidates must demonstrate strong practical, field-based experience in electrical commissioning, startup, and completions within industrial, utility, or data center environments.
