Compliance Specialist
The Compliance Specialist supports the company’s compliance programs by collecting, updating, maintaining, validating, and reporting compliance-related data tied to regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. This role is heavily focused on data accuracy, documentation, reporting, and process adherence.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, organize, and manage large datasets related to regulatory and customer compliance requirements (e.g., REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, ITAR, DFARS, NIST, CUI, EHSS)Perform routine data entry, validation, and quality control checks to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completenessIdentify, investigate, and correct data inconsistencies or anomalies, escalating issues when appropriateMaintain compliance records, logs, and supporting documentation in an audit-ready conditionDevelop and maintain Excel-based tracking sheets, reports, and dashboards using formulas, pivot tables, charts, and lookup functionsGenerate recurring compliance, performance, and status reports for management reviewCompile and verify data for customer surveys, regulatory filings, self-audits, and annual compliance reportsSupport the creation and maintenance of documentation, data standards, workflows, and standard operating proceduresAssist with tracking corrective actions by updating logs and monitoring completion statusMaintain training and certification records related to compliance programsAssist with importing and exporting data between Excel and other software toolsServe as a point of contact for routine compliance data requests and inquiriesRecommend process improvements to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and consistencyAssist with process improvement initiatives related to compliance data management and reportingPerform other related duties as requiredRequired Skills & AbilitiesAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, formulas, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUPExperience working with data, reporting, and documentation in a professional environment preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailExperience with data quality assurance and integrity practicesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesBasic understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearlyAbility to work independently while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary informationWhat We OfferA start-up atmosphere within a large, established organizationA meritocracy where a high level of achievement and contribution is rewardedVeteran friendlyFinancial security through competitive salary, incentives and retirement plansOn the job training and continuous career development opportunities401k with a generous company match plus an additional employer-paid contributionHealthcare including medical, dental and vision, life and disability15 days of Paid Time Off and 12 paid holidaysTuition reimbursement opportunities and education loan repayment assistanceThe stability of a company with a record of strong financial performance“An Equal Opportunity Employer” Minority/Female/Disabled/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity or National OriginThis position requires access to controlled technology that is subject to US export controls.
