On-site and distance learning options incorporate up-to-date technologies.Mountain Gateway Community College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Adjunct Instructor to teach Python programming. The instructor will provide engaging, hands-on instruction that introduces students to fundamental programming concepts and develops practical Python programming skills.The successful candidate will create an inclusive learning environment, support student success, and connect programming concepts to real-world applications.ResponsibilitiesTeach assigned Python programming courses in accordance with approved course objectives and curriculum.Prepare and deliver lectures, demonstrations, programming exercises, labs, and other instructional activities.Teach fundamental Python concepts, including variables, data types, control structures, functions, collections, file handling, error handling, and object-oriented programming.Introduce students to debugging, testing, problem-solving, and good programming practices.Develop or utilize assignments, projects, quizzes, examinations, and other assessments.Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and other required academic records.Hold office hours or provide appropriate opportunities for student consultation.Communicate effectively with students and department faculty/staff.Participate in required faculty meetings, training, or professional-development activities.Special AssignmentsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned.
