These assignments relate to a variety of trades that include but are not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting and wall covering.Essential FunctionsRequired Skills/ AbilitiesBasic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is used frequently on the jobRepair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, move furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.General maintenance workDo garden/yard upkeep by moving lawn, collecting trash etc.Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repairWorking on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occursCarpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the buildingInspect and troubleshoot equipment and system (e.g. ventilation)Responsibility/ ActivitiesEmpty wastepaper basket and ashtrays in outside areasTransport trash to waste disposal equipmentDust and polish wooden surface and furnitureReplenish the bathroomInspect residents room prior to move inClean the rooms, lounges, lobby, bathrooms and hallwaysVacuum and wash carpets and rugsMay be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the Maintenance ManagerReporting RelationshipMaintenance Technician ManagerQualificationsHigh school or equivalent (Required) or 2 years experience in the fieldFlorida Driver's License (Required)US work authorization (Required)Pass level 2 criminal background checkPay Rate: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour.
