Part-Time Dietary AidesFounded in 1966, Friendship offers diverse senior living accommodations, award-winning care, new and innovative services, as well as specialized rehab and therapy, to over 1,500 residents and patients each day. With four campuses, the earliest dating back to 1919, Friendship has grown to offer the full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, home care, outpatient therapy, inpatient rehab, long-term care and Alzheimer's and memory care. As a non-profit, Friendship provides a caring community to serve a wide-range of residents including those with limited financial means.Friendship is looking for Part-Time Dietary Aides to join our Richfield Assisted Living team, located in Salem, VA. The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.Shifts Available:DayshiftRoles & Responsibilities:Prepares beverages for residentsPrepares food items such as sandwiches, desserts, salads, snack trays and beverages, etc. Place items such as utensils, napkins, condiments on trays.Assist with delivery of food items to residents when neededClean and sanitize all areas in dining room, and designed "back of house" areas such as stock rooms, employee bathroom and chemical storage areas.Clears tables and cleans/sanitizes tables in dining room.General cleaning of dining room floors, walls, windows, etc.Occasionally operates as dishwasherQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredFood service experience preferredMust be able to follow written and oral instructionsStrong attention to detailThis position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
