This role will perform testing in compliance with cGMP guidelines and support team leadership in a start‑up lab environment. Testing will include FTIR, HPLC, GC, and other analytical techniques. Training will take place in Gaithersburg, MD and Frederick, MD.Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToPerform raw materials testing per GxP, SOPs, protocols, and applicable compendial chapters/monographsExecute wet chemistry, chromatographic (HPLC/UPLC/GC), and spectroscopic (FTIR) analysesAccurately document testing activities using data capture forms, electronic notebooks, and logbooksEnter and evaluate data against specifications; identify and report abnormalitiesTroubleshoot instruments and perform basic equipment maintenanceOwn minor deviations, invalid investigations, simple change controls, and CAPAs; support major deviationsWrite and revise SOPs and associated documentationPerform logbook, data, and documentation reviewSupport implementation of new methods, technologies, and processesMaintain laboratory organization using Lean / 6 Sigma principles, including inventory management, glassware washing, and sample receipt and disposalWork effectively within a team while managing multiple prioritiesQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific disciplineMinimum 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical QC experience; wet lab experience requiredHands-on experience with raw materials testingExperience with compendial and physiochemical testing (appearance, pH, wet chemistry)Experience with HPLC/UPLC, GC, and FTIRAbility to work with USP/NF, Ph. Eur., and JP general chapters and monographsStrong documentation skills and understanding of cGMP requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordAuthorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipPreferred QualificationsStrong organizational and time-management skills; familiarity with Lean principlesClose attention to detail and commitment to data integrity (ALCOA)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAdditional InformationPosition is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5 pm.
