Position: Summer School Secondary Aide, Instructional Internal applicants preferred Job Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity Job Description Assist summer school administrators and teachers as required. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher Other Information Junior High Summer School- 6-8 (Baker Sixth Grade Campus) June 1-18 (Monday - Thursday) Session Hours: 8:30 am - 2:30 pm Work Day/Prep: June 3 Work Hours: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Frequent walking Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds) Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress Apply online, completing the Summer School application.
