On-Campus Clinical/Counseling Psychology Adjunct

Location: On campusPosition Type: Part-time with the possibility of full-time employment in the futureStart Date: August 2026Institutional MissionNelson University exists to equip students spiritually, academically, professionally, and cross-culturally for their God-given careers and callings.Position OverviewNelson University seeks a highly qualified adjunct faculty member in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology to begin teaching in Fall 2026. This is an immediate instructional need within the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Community Services.The successful candidate will teach assigned graduate and/or undergraduate psychology courses on campus and in online formats and contribute to the continued strength of the psychology curriculum.Primary ResponsibilitiesTeach assigned psychology courses beginning Fall 2026.Integrate Christian faith and clinical professional identity in course engagement.Facilitate applied learning, case analysis, and professional skill development.Provide timely, substantive feedback to students.Submit required course documentation and assessment materials.Minimum QualificationsEducationPreferred:State licensure as a psychologistMinimum 3 years teaching experience in a college or university settingRequired:Earned doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.ABD candidates with a clear timeline toward completion of the terminal degree may be considered.Professional QualificationsDocumented professional clinical experience.Experience teaching on-campus and in online formats preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.Commitment to collaboration and program development.Faith CommitmentPersonal faith consistent with Nelson University's evangelical Christian mission.Active participation in a local church community; Assemblies of God affiliation preferred.CompensationCompensation is determined according to established on-campus/distance education pay scales and is based on credentials and teaching assignments.Application Process: Complete the fields to the right of this screen under "Apply here".
