Mechanical Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Essential Job Functions: Troubleshoot, repair, and replacement of mechanical equipment Lubrication and preventative maintenance (PM) of mechanical equipment Assists Electronic Technician in electrical and electronic duties Identify parts and assist tool room in the requisition and inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment Design, assemble, and install new mechanical equipment and maintains Maintenance Management System; able to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Maintain all equipment in good running order Ensure that job site is clean and free of hazards Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices when running equipment Interact and communicate with Production Manager during shift and assist on line when needed Maintain professional certifications and keep up to date on all procedures and policy changes; keep training up to date Operate all maintenance equipment safely Other duties as assigned Requirements: Five (5) years as journeyman level millwright and additional skills to operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment Strong background in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience Basic computer knowledge Safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes are required on some or all jobs Work Location: In person
