The firm is privileged to frequently represent various Central Florida sheriff’s offices in civil cases that often involve complex issues of constitutional and state law. Our office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support a team of attorneys and staff handling civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts.ResponsibilitiesOrganize, summarize, and maintain discovery materials, medical records, and case files.Review and analyze discovery responses, including interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas, and document productions for completeness and relevance.Prepare initial drafts of legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery.Coordinate service of subpoenas, track compliance, and follow up with records custodiansConduct legal and general research using traditional research methods and AI-enabled platforms.Manage case deadlines and ensure compliance with court orders and rules.Process state and federal court e-filings and coordinate service of court documents.Perform other related duties as assigned to support the needs of the firm.Required Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal in civil trial practice.Federal court experience preferred.Maintain accurate and detailed time records reflecting paralegal tasks performed throughout the workday.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate litigation calendars effectively.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems preferred.
