The company specializes in supplying and managing door and hardware systems for commercial buildings, ensuring projects meet code requirements, aesthetic expectations, and performance standards.This organization partners with general contractors, architects, and building owners to deliver high-quality openings solutions across a variety of commercial construction environments.Position SummaryThe Project Manager will oversee commercial door, frame, and hardware (DFH) projects from kickoff through completion. This individual will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing timelines and budgets, preparing technical documentation, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the lifecycle of each project.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from award through closeoutCoordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to specificationDevelop project schedules and delegate tasks to internal teamsPerform cost analysis and assist with project budgeting and forecastingPrepare and review detailed DFH submittals and shop drawings using industry software (Comsense)Manage revisions, change orders, and project documentationAttend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendorsIdentify potential risks and communicate mitigation strategies to managementServe as the primary liaison between the company, customers, and project stakeholdersAddress customer questions or concerns throughout the project lifecycleEnsure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and contractual requirementsCollaborate with sales and internal teams to support project execution and product knowledgePerform additional project-related duties as neededQualificationsRequired3+ years of experience in the Door, Frame & Hardware (DFH) industryExperience managing commercial construction projects involving DFH systemsExperience preparing submittals and shop drawingsProficiency with Comsense or similar DFH project management softwareAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsKnowledge of building codes related to door and hardware applications, including:Fire codesLife safety codesADA requirementsWindstorm complianceStrong communication and organizational skills PreferredBachelor's or technical degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldDHI certificationsFamiliarity with CAD softwareKnowledge of door hardware systems including hollow metal, wood doors, STC, FSC, and LEED requirements Technical SkillsMicrosoft Office SuiteAdobeComsense (or comparable DFH software)Basic CAD familiarityBlueprint and specification interpretation Professional TraitsStrong customer relationship skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational abilityPositive, team-oriented attitudeAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsFor more information or to discuss the opportunity confidentially, please contact:Tyler ThueSolid Rock RecruitingCell: 605.865.5929
